Orting Veterans Village
![]() The Orting Veterans Village is a permanent supportive tiny house village for 35 homeless veteran heroes. We opened our doors in the spring of 2021. Please check out our Grand Opening Ceremony and Live Q&A below!
The Story
We teamed up with the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs and the Puget Sound Veterans Hope Center to create a Tiny Home Village for homeless veterans in Orting, Washington. The WDVA leased Quixote Communities 5+ acres at the Washington Soldiers Home in Orting. We broke ground in January 2020 and opened our doors in May of 2021. Because of the Covid 19 pandemic, we had a phased in move in with a total of 35 homeless veterans calling the village their home. If you are wanting to donate items, please check our Amazon Wish List as we often update our needs there.
The Orting Veterans Village is on the land of the Puyallup Tribe of Indians and Coast Salish peoples, whose ancestors have been here since time immemorial. We express deep gratitude for the local tribes who have supported our efforts to grow Quixote Communities to what it is today.
