We are thrilled to announce the design will be a little different than our villages in Olympia and Orting. There will be 7-four-plexes and 1-duplex (30 homes total). This new site plan will not only help with climate impact, but will help with costs and will provide more personal mini-communities of support for residents. The Shelton Veterans Village was the brainchild of Senator Tim Sheldon and Quixote Communities. We received an allocation in the Washington State Housing Trust Fund to build a tiny house village similar to Quixote Village for homeless veterans living in Mason County.
LOCATION: North 13 Street in Shelton, Washington. We LOVE the location. It's on a main bus line, and close to local resources including the college and hospital.
It has been a long process to get everything lined up to get this project going. We are almost done with perfecting the design and will apply for permits. We are currently looking for secured operating funding to make sure the village will be sustainable for future years to come.
Stay tuned for more updates!
